Imaging Center Front Desk Registrar

Description:
The MEDARVA Imaging Center is currently hiring for a Front Desk Registrar to undertake a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks. This position will be an integral part in contributing to the daily front-end operations of the diagnostic imaging center. The Registrar will greet patients and be able to carry out billing and administrative duties accurately and promptly in a professional manner. Must have previous health insurance/billing experience and Radiology billing experience is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Performs patient scheduling, registration, inputs patient demographics, and collects co-payments.
  • Interpret and analyze EOBs, remits and payment posting entries.
  • Check claim status from payers through telephone, websites, and any other communication deemed necessary for insurance carriers in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Work effectively with ICD 10 Codes and radiology CPT codes.
  • Serves as a liaison between all customers, including patients, physicians, and imaging center personnel.
  • Protects and maintains confidentiality of information; provides information on a need to know basis; adheres to all HIPAA compliance practices.
  • Ability to perform insurance verification/pre authorization and billing.
  • Efficiently handles phone correspondence and the scheduling of patient appointments.
  • Verifies authorizations and accepts/transmits electronic or faxed information for needed physician patient information.

CT Technologist

Description:
Come join our team at Richmond's newest outpatient imaging center with brand new state-of-the-art equipment located in the recently developed area of Short Pump.

MEDARVA Healthcare is dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for both patients and providers which stems from its passion for healthcare and the development of highly trained clinical staff to deliver it.

The MEDARVA Imaging Center is a brand new outpatient facility that opened in the summer of 2020. We are seeking a CT Technologist to come join our team. The CT Technologist will be responsible for preparing patients for routine and emergent CT and radiographic examinations in accordance with physicians’ orders and established protocols. The CT Technologist produces high quality CT and radiographic images and presents them with appropriate patient information to the Radiologist for timely interpretation.

Requirements:

  • Prepares patients for CT and radiographic examinations by confirming physicians’ orders, verifying patients’ identities, and obtaining adequate medical histories to ensure appropriateness of examinations.
  • Prepares CT scanner and performs quality control tests.
  • Performs CT and radiographic examinations on patients of all age groups.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of knowledge and understanding of CT and radiographic services while providing quality patient care.
  • Practices safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients by supporting the establishment, maintenance, and education of an effective safety management program.
  • Adheres to radiation safety practices for all patients, personnel, and self to include the principles of time, distance, and shielding.
  • Maintains authority to administer contrast agents and follows established guidelines for the selection and administration of appropriate contrast type, amount, and concentration. Adequately screens all patients for contraindications.
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in IV placement for contrast administration.
  • Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure their continued availability and non-interruption of services.
  • Maintains flexibility to staff various shift days, times and lengths.

Education, Training and Experience:

1. Completion of accredited program in Radiologic Technology required.
2. Minimum of 3 years Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years CT technologist experience preferred.
4. Siemens CT experience preferred.

Certifications:

1. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
2. Advanced level certification by the ARRT in CT required.
3. VA State Radiologic Technologist License required.
4. Current BLS certification required.

MRI Technologist

MEDARVA Healthcare is currently recruiting for a MRI Technologist to join a new outpatient imaging center with brand new state-of-the-art equipment located in the recently developed area of Short Pump.

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for preparing patients for routine and emergent MRI and radiographic examinations in accordance with physicians’ orders and established protocols. The MRI Technologist produces high quality MRI and radiographic images and presents them with appropriate patient information to the Radiologist for timely interpretation.
